BRITTANY ELKINS, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Brittany Elkins is a graduate of The University of St. Augustine where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. Dr. Elkins is a specialist in Northern Virginia for the Parkinson's Disease population with specialty certifications in LSVT BIG protocol and extensive continuing education in the Parkinson's Disease field. Dr. Elkins is certified in Advanced Dry Needling and provides pain relief and improved range of motion for acute injury and chronic pain patients. Dr. Elkins works with leading Orthopedic Surgeons to provide exceptional pre- and post- operative care for joint replacement, spinal surgery, and arthroscopic repair.
HELEN LOERA, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Helen Loera is a graduate of Shenandoah University where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. Dr. Loera has worked in all facets of a Physical Therapy practice since receiving her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from The University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 1985. Dr. Loera has experience in working with all types of patients, but especially loves working with Orthopedic patients (including pre- and post-operative treatment for joint replacement, spinal surgery, and arthroscopic repair). Dr. Loera is fluent in Spanish which enhances her ability to work with patients and improves their overall experience.
RACHEL PANOSIAN, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Rachel Panosian is a graduate of Regis University in Denver, CO where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013. She has experience providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and has treated patients with various orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions. She believes a hands-on approach to rehab in addition to great patient education will help achieve your goals and maximize physical health and mobility. Rachel is excited to bring her skills set to Balance Physical Therapy.
CHARLETTE WOELKERS, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dr. Charlette Woelkers is a graduate of The University of Scranton where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020. She graduated from an Orthopedic Residency Program in 2022, and she is certified in Advanced Dry Needling which can be used in tandem with Physical Therapy to reduce symptoms. Dr. Woelkers has worked in a variety of settings and has helped many patients in a range of ages improve their quality of life. She prides herself in her work with patients who need assistance with Orthopedic and Pelvic Floor conditions. Charlette believes in treating patients through a variety of methods utilizing evidence based practice for the most holistic approach to healing to guide her patients towards achieving their goals.
RACHEL JOHNSON
Physical Therapist Assistant
Rachel is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College's PTA Program in 2017 after training in various settings including outpatient, skilled nursing, and inpatient rehab. Rachel has a passion for people and desires to assist in patient recovery through skilled practices and continued learning of up-to-date techniques. Her areas of interest include myofascial release techniques as well as neuromuscular treatment.
RUBI CASTRO
Physical Therapist Assistant
Rubi is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College's PTA Program after training in various settings including outpatient, skilled nursing, and inpatient rehab. Her areas of interest include pediatrics, neuromuscular disorders and orthopedic conditions. Rubi also enhances our office with her ability to speak fluent Spanish.
CAROLYN BAGDOYAN
Physical Therapist Assistant
Carolyn is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College's PTA Program in 2022 after training in various settings, including outpatient and skilled nursing. Carolyn’s areas of interest include neuromuscular diseases, Parkinson’s Disease, and orthopedic conditions. She is certified in the Parkinson’s LSVT BIG protocol; she is also a certified IATY yoga therapist with a particular focus on improving functional movement. She has a deep passion for empowering patients in their recovery using up-to-date skilled practices and compassionate care.

Maggie is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College's PTA program in 2013. She has experience providing care in home health and outpatient settings, and has treated patients with various orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions. She is certified in LSVT BIG Protocol. Maggie excels with compassionate care and motivating patients to enhance their overall health and active lifestyles. She promotes patient independence through patient education to optimize long term success.
KATIE MERCHANT

Katie is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College's PTA Program in 2023 after training in outpatient and inpatient rehab settings. Her areas of interest include student athletes, geriatrics, as well as neurological and neuromuscular conditions.
